Flextail Max Pump 3

The new Flextail Max Pump 3 is an extremely handy piece of go-to gear for every packrafter and camper. Weighing just 122 grams, this pocket-sized rechargeable pump makes inflating and deflating your gear effortlessly easy.

Using the higher of its two power settings, it achieves a 5 kPa pressure and a massive 500 L/min airflow, ensuring your rafts, sleeping pads, and pool floats are inflated in no time. With this pump, you can leave the packraft inflation bag behind and get on the water much faster. Final topping off is done as usual by mouth through the one-way valve.

The pump’s deflation feature is just as valuable on trips as inflation: it pulls every last bit of air out of your raft and gear, allowing you to pack everything into a neat and tight bundle.

The device also doubles as an excellent camp light. Its transparent housing diffuses light over a wide area, featuring three brightness levels. Depending on the setting, the battery lasts 4–11 hours in lantern mode. The pump also includes attachment points for hanging and a standard tripod mount.

Tip for inflating a packraft: Simply hold the pump with a suitable nozzle against the valve opening. Pinch the fabric around the valve so the air can flow in completely freely.
